When to go to Taiwan
Go in autumn, October to November, or spring, March to April, for mild, dry days and clear skies. Summer is hot, humid and typhoon-prone, and winter is mild but often wet and grey in the north.

Taiwan is a mountainous subtropical island, and these ratings follow Taipei in the north. Autumn brings the best of the year, with mild, dry, clear days that are ideal for the cities, the night markets and the mountain trails, and spring is a close second.
Summer is hot and humid and falls in the typhoon season, which runs roughly June to October and peaks in late summer. Winter is mild but the north around Taipei turns wet and grey, while the south around Kenting stays warmer and sunnier.
