When to go to Jordan

Jordan is mostly desert, so the trick is dodging the extremes. The ratings key off Amman, where spring and autumn bring warm, sunny days that are ideal for the long walks through Petra and the dunes of Wadi Rum.
Summer is searing in the desert and at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, while winter is cool by day and genuinely cold at night, with frost and occasional snow in Amman. The Red Sea at Aqaba stays warm and swimmable for much of the year.
