In short
The year at a glance
Guam is America in the western Pacific: a US territory with big resort beaches on Tumon Bay, Chamorro villages and fiestas in the south, and a dense layer of WWII history. It is warm year round, split between a dry trade-wind season and a wet, stormy one. We rate on Tumon, the resort strip.
January to April is the pick: rainfall drops as low as 55 mm in March, humidity eases and the reef flats stay calm. From July the rain builds fast, peaking August to October at 300 to 350 mm a month, exactly when typhoon risk is highest. Hotels are engineered for storms, but that half of the year needs flexible plans.
