The year at a glance
Argentina runs from the subtropics to the edge of Antarctica, so the season depends on the region. These ratings follow Buenos Aires, where spring and autumn bring the most pleasant weather and summer is hot and humid.
Patagonia in the far south is a short summer destination, best from December to March when the winds ease and the trails open. The wine country around Mendoza peaks at the autumn harvest, and the northern deserts and falls stay warm much of the year.
