Go in the dry season, November to April, for sunny, comfortable days. The rainy season runs May to October, with afternoon storms, and the Caribbean coast watches the hurricane season, June to November.

The year at a glance
Mexico splits cleanly into a dry season and a rainy one. These ratings follow Mexico City, high in the central highlands, where the dry months from November to April bring sunny, spring-like days and the rains arrive as afternoon downpours from May. Coastal resorts run hotter and more humid.
The dry season is peak season and priced to match, with busy beaches over the December and Easter holidays. The one date to plan around on the Caribbean side is the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs June to November and is most active from August to October.
